She was born Feb. 10, in Shafter, Calif. She retired as Postmaster after 30 plus years with the U.S. Postal Service. Janie was an endowed member of Escallonia 447, South Fort Worth 835, Granbury 530,Order of the Eastern Star. She also belonged to the White Shrine of Jerusalem, NILE, and Ladies Oriental Shrine, Mother Advisor Escalon Rainbow for Girls and was instrumental in forming the first Pledge Group, and lastly, a member of the National Association of Postmasters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Dunsmoor; parents, Fred and Edith Robbins; brothers, Robert Jackson and Tommy Robbins; and sister, Fanny Powell.
Survivors: Six children, Donna Noe (Dan), Janet Vanzzini (Henry), Charlie Pope, Jr.(LaJeana), Kim Murken (Marty), Darryl Pope (Stacie), and Penny Powell (Joey); 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, William Jackson and Lemuel Robbins; sisters, Claudia Albertoni, Leila Robbins, Edith Clayton, and Betty Lou Buchanan.
