Born to John Brantley Neal and Ida Viola Brown Neal in Foreman, Arkansas. Had numerous brothers and sisters.

Married Paulene Oleda Austin and had one son Tony Lynn Neal and one daughter Debbie Neal (Durouchie). One grandson Brantley Lynn Neal and three granddaughters Deanna Paulene Neal (Starks), Amanda Dawn Neal (Slaton), and Sharon Marie Paschal (Royall). So far to date he has one great grandson Kason Carman Starks and four great granddaughters Madison Paige Neal, Macie Lynn Neal, Mallory Nicole Neal and Trinity Nicole Slaton.
