Enoch of South Paris passed on at the Maine Veterans' Home.

He was born in Hartford, Maine the son of Lewis and Emma Bragg Child. He attended schools in Canton. He faithfully served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He married Evangeline Morse on March 6, 1943, and she recently predeceased him on Jan. 19. He worked in various local mills and factories until his retirement from Cornwall Wood Products. He was a member of the Paris Historical Society. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.

He is survived by a daughter, Priscilla Taylor of Lewiston; a son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Pam Child of South Paris; and a grandson, Christopher Mickalide of Auburn.

He was predeceased by four brothers, Earl, Joe, Lewis and Richard; and two sisters, Eleanor and Emma Lyons.

Obituary

A time of visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday with a 2 p.m. funeral service immediately after in the Weston-Chandler Funeral Home, 45 Main St., South Paris with the Rev. William Kerr officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Norway Pine Grove Cemetery.
