Magdalena died June 3 1917, about three months after the birth of Leo. Her death record is as Magdalena Abraham, age 19 (see **note), who died in Day Co S.D., death index #53286.
Note: While death index has age as 19, the correct age was 29.
Note: Death cert for son Anthony gives his mother as Lena Peoples, it should have been Lena Schuette. Peoples was the maiden name of Magdalena "Lena"s mother, Anthony's maternal grandmother.
Per 1915 census, the family was Catholic. It may be that Magdalena was buried in a Catholic cemetery. Have sent inquiry to All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Andover, Day Co. S.D. to see if there is a record of her there. Another possibility is the Andover Cemetery. Her husband farmed in Andover from 1909 until he moved to Missouri about 1934.
