Lucille K. Eakins
(nee Sorby)
Age 70. Passed away Friday, March 28, 2008 at her late residence in Shorewood. Born January 21, 1938 in Chicago, she was a resident of Cissna Park, Bolingbrook and Mundelein before moving to Shorewood. Her favorite pastimes were embroidering pillowcases, putting together family albums and especially her passion for cooking and caring for her family.
Preceded in death by her parents, John, Sr. and Katherine (nee Zimmerman) Sorby; and one brother, John Sorby, Jr.
Survived by her husband of 29 years, Orval Eakins; her children, Ron (Deb) Allen of Ingleside, IL, Debbie Jones of Round Lake, IL, Barbie (Pat) Hannon of Joliet, Jeff Allen of Shorewood, John (Chris) Allen of Bolingbrook, Michelle (Russell) Boudria of Euless, TX, and Andrea (Keith) Lederer of Traverse City, MI; stepdaughter, ToniLee Eakins Kadel; and stepson, Randy Eakins both of Somerset, KY; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Carol (Jerry) Brzezinski of Libertyville, IL; one brother, Hank (Jan) Sorby of Mundelein, IL; sister-in-law, Rosemary (Bob) Kerill of Richmond, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Eulogies and family memories will be shared on Wednesday April 2, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private. Visitation Wednesday 3-9 p.m. at:
