Henry Oliver Hoff, 93, of Bemidji, died on Sunday, June 22, 2003 at his residence.
Henry was born December 23, 1909 the son of Don and Gena (Linrud) Hoff at Shevlin, Minnesota. He attended Country School #35 in Shevlin. He married Esther Smith and had four children and later divorced. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving our country during World War II. He was honorably discharged and was a disabled veteran. he farmed in rural Shevlin. He married Edith Helgeson and they had four children and later divorced. he enjoyed playing the violin. He was a member of the VFW Post #1260 of Bemidji.
He is survived by his children, Janet Smith, Idaho, Holly Carrier, Clarkston, Washington, Robert Hoff, Bemidji, Debbie (Jim) Voeller, Helena, Montana, Richard Hoff, Bemidji, and Kevin Hoff; two stepsons, Kim Hagen, Bemidji, and Jack Hagen; one sister, Mabel Isaacson, Shevlin; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane, sisters, Julia, Gladys, Ella, Mathilda, and Alma; and brothers, John, Albert, and Melvin and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 26, at 3 p.m. at the Landstad Free Lutheran Church in Shevlin. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 25, at 1 p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Landstad Free Lutheran Cemetery in Shevlin. Military Honors will be provided by the VFW Post #1260 of Bemidji.
