Funeral services for Dick Dabbs, 61, of 1800 East Jordan street, Pensacola, Fla., who died Wednesday morning at Sacred Heart hospital, was held Friday at 2:30 p. m., in the East Hill Baptist church, with the Rev. Preston B. Sellers officiating. Burial was in Bayview Memorial Memorial Park cemetery in Pensacola. He was employed as timber inspector for the L. & N. railway for 17 years. He was a member of Escambia lodge of Masons, and was a member of the East Hill Baptist church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie A. Dabbs; one son, James A. Dabbs; and two daughters, Miss Bessie 'Lucille Dabbs, and Mrs. Herman F. Merchant, Pensacola; stepmother, Mrs. John S. Dabbs, Sr.; two brothers, Hal and John S. Dabbs, Jr., Quitman, Miss.; two sisters, Mrs. A. M. Merrill, Meridian and Mrs. W. H. Winders, Jackson, Miss. Pallbearers, all fellow workers, were B. D. Howe, W. R. Moore, J. D. Jordan, W. T. Ramsey, Chester Ritchie and D. E. Nicholson.
