Martha Almeda Robertson of Blountsville, AL passed away at Ruby Manor in Holly Pond on June 22, 2012 at the age of 95. Born in Blount County, she was the daughter of the late David Enoch and Dora Jane Fant Alldredge.
Ms. Robertson taught school for many years in Vernon, AL and also worked as a social worker. She was employed with the State Department of Pensions and Security in Montgomery, AL before she returned to Blount County as the director of the county's Program on Aging in which she worked for three years.
She is survived by her stepson, stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted today, June 24, 2012 at 2PM in the chapel of Lemley Funeral Home with Bro. Bric Latham officiating. A graveside service will be held at Vernon City Cemetery on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 1PM. Ms. Robertson will lie in state at the funeral home today from Noon until funeral time.
