J (John) Rayburn VanSickle, died Sunday, February 11, 2018, at his residence in St. Petersburg, FL. John was born April 20, 1940 into the arms of his loving parents, Joseph S. and Oma M. (Rayburn) VanSickle. He grew up on English Road in Point Pleasant, WV where he attended elementary school, spent time with his good friend and neighbor “Flea Hound” Jordan, sang in the “4 Winds Quartet” and enjoyed playing the guitar. John graduated from Point Pleasant Sr. High School in 1958. He went on to work various jobs before becoming an OTR truck driver for Belle Lines and Kaiser Aluminum where he worked until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Joseph S. VanSickle Jr.

Left to remember John are his sister, Mary Ann Stone and her husband Mike Wilford of Bainbridge, Ga. Four sons: Joseph R. (Polly) VanSickle, of Statesville, NC. Daniel S. (LuAnn) VanSickle, of Chambersburg, Pa. Victor C. (Terri) VanSickle, of Gallipolis, Oh. and Randall M. (Candy) VanSickle, of Gallipolis, OH. Eight grandchildren; John VanSickle, Jaime (Brian) Ratliff, Emily VanSickle, Ty VanSickle, Michael (Jules) VanSickle, Jill VanSickle, Brandi Lane, and Cher Nuckles. Five great-grandchildren; Layla and Bowen Ratliff, Addalyn VanSickle, Lucas VanSickle and Stevie Decker. Also, a special friend of 17 years Judy Oladro of St. Petersburg, Fl.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 17 at 1:00pm at Deal Funeral Home in Pt. Pleasant, WV. John leaves behind many Rayburn and VanSickle relatives as well as friends to mourn his passing. All are invited to share in this memorial.
