Andrew is the son of Charles Brink Huffman and Martha Chaffin. He was the 3rd of 6 children born to Charles and Martha; John Adams, Elizabeth J, Andrew Jackson, Eli Riley B, Melissa Olivine Caroline, and Thomas Jefferson. He moved with his parents to Texas between 1835 and 1840. Andrew married Mary Jane Miller May 3, 1854 in Bell County Texas. They had 4 children before he died, John W 1856-1870, William Green 1856-1938, Harriet Emma Melissa 1858-1958, and George Riley 1861- 1941. He died fighting in the Civil War at the battle of Post Arkansas.
