Funeral services were held for Bro. John Robert Stegall Sr., 74, of Lucedale on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with visitation from 12-2 p.m.

Interment followed in Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joseph Ladiner and Rev. Dewitt Bain officiating the services.

A barber; a minister who served at Harmony Baptist Church in Semmes, Ala, Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church in Vinegar Bend, Ala., Oak Grove Baptist Church in Lucedale, Fairhope Baptist Church in Beaumont and Midway Baptist Church in McLain; and a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, he died February 10. He was born February 22, 1943 in Hazlehurst.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years; three sons; a daughter; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents Caley and Gladys Stegall and sister Linda Berch.

Pallbearers included Brandon Stegall, Cody Stegall, Ethan Hokanson, Andrew Hokanson, Camron Stegall, Brian Berch, Cole Stegall and Hunter Stegall.
