Alice Annabell Chappell Melancon, born November 19, 1933, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, age 84. Loving mother of Catherine Fontana, Kenny Melancon (De-etta), Rebecca Murdock, Melvin Melancon Sr. (Pam) and Wanda Anne Nicholson (Randy). She is survived by her sister Doreen C. Fonteneau, 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Alice Berthiaume Chappell and Frank H. Chappell, Her infant grandson Sterling, her siblings Mary S. Keller, George W. Schilling, Jeannette C. Bell and Cecil Chappell.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon.
