Mary Shanklin, age 93, of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of Berry, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at Samaritan Hospital, in Lexington. Born on September 4, 1915, she was a daughter of the late E.H. and Georgia Gallagher. She married H.A. “Slick” Shanklin, and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1981. She was a homemaker and member of First Christian Church, in Lexington.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, at Berry Christian Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 27, at Woodhead Funeral Home, in Berry. Burial will be at Pythian Grove Cemetery, in Berry.
