Clyde was a member of Crowell Memorial United Methodist Church and a World War II Army Veteran.
In addition to his parents, wife, Carrie Berryhill Scronce; son, Bobby Scronce; grandson, Jeff Keever; great-grandson, Nicholas Jenks; 4 brothers and 2 sisters preceded him in death.

The funeral service will be held, Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Crowell Memorial UMC in Lincolnton with Pastor Freida H. Hobson officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the church.
