BURNETT, Dorothy E. Age 87 of Fairfield, died Monday, August 6, 2007 at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Community. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 22, 1920, the daughter of Andrew and Mayme (Treinen) Bruck and was a 1938 graduate of Hamilton High School.

On September 14, 1940, she married Orville E. Burnett and he preceded her in death on July 2, 1978. Mrs. Burnett was a life member of the First St. John United Church of Christ where she was confirmed and married.

She loved her home, her family, her flowers and her yard. Dorothy enjoyed dancing and was an active member of the Starlighters Club, the Five Aces Club, as well as the Elks Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, David and his wife Cheryl Burnett of Liberty TWP, Ohio; two grandchildren, Jason Burnett, and Shannon (Andy) Ginther; two step grandchildren, Erich (Pam) Schudel, and Heidi (Geoff) Renard; a sister, Marian Reed, of Hamilton; a sister-in-law, Meretta Burnett; nieces and nephews, Andy and Helen Bruck, Dawana and Joe Langdon, Merlin and Janet Getz, Bill and Dottie Getz, Marylou and Bill Warman, Allen and Kathy Burnett, Pat and Don Stitsinger, Ramona and John Tucker, Kevin and Jonni Burnett, Becky and Douglas Friend, and Marvin and Kathy Burnett; good friends, Helen Gibbons, Peggy Burtis, Helen Nichols, Betty Jane Vogel, Jane Olber, Marie Brunner, Ron and Suzanne Schilffarth; Kern and Sam Vogel, who she thought of as sons.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30am Saturday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Rev. Sam Wyatt of First St. John United Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30am Saturday in the funeral home.
