Dean Burnside, 90, passed away February 10, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 21, 1927 to Joe and Glenn (Rule) Jordan in the Valdasta community. She attended Boyd High School and Southwestern Bible School, now known as Southwestern Assembly of God University. She married James Burnside September 15, 1945 only 3 weeks after they met. They celebrated 71 years of marriage before he passed. Dean was always active in church, teaching Sunday School, church secretary and involved in Women's Ministry. She was of the Assembly of God faith. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, always ready to help anyone in need. She was in real estate and was a property investor with her husband for over 50 years. She was survived by her son, Denny Burnside and wife Nancy, of McKinney, Rev. Jerry Burnside and wife Brenda, of McAlester, Oklahoma, and Denice Burnside Webb and husband Jack, of McKinney. She was also survived by grandchildren, Kim Burr and husband Dale, Chris Hillblom, Terrence Burnside and wife Stacie, Amber Duke, Mallorie Tyler, Renee Gabbard and husband Trent, Jason Burnside and wife Kendra, Jared Webb and wife Kim, and Jordan Webb and fiancé Marina. Also surviving her were numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. Dean was preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents; sister, Leona Jordan; brother, Dub Jordan; and sister, Peggy Terry; grandchildren, Camela Renee and James Michael Burnside; as well as grandson-in-law, Tim Duke. The family held a private burial at Stoney Point Cemetery. Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Church of God, McKinney.

She is also survived by grandchildren, Kim Burr and husband, Dale, Chris Hillblom, Terrence Burnside and wife, Stacie, Amber Duke, Mallorie Tyler, Renee Gabbard and husband, Trent, Jason Burnside and wife, Kendra, Jared Webb and wife, Kim, and Jordan Webb and fiancé, Marina. She has numerous great grand children and great great grandchildren.
Dean was preceded in death by her husband, James, mother and father, sister, Leona Jordan, brother, Dub Jordan and sister, Peggy Terry. Also 2 grandchildren, Camela Renee and James Michael Burnside as well as grandson in law, Tim Duke.
The family will have a private burial at Stoney Point Cemetery. A Home Going Celebration is pending and will be announced at a later date.
