Ada Wanda Bonar, age 95 formerly of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Kindred Hospital in Tampa, Florida. She was born on March 14, 1922 in Mt. Vernon, KY, the daughter of William and Ella (Fredrick) Owens. On December 28, 1945 she married George C. Bonar and he preceded her in death in 1987. Ada was a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a devoted Christian and loved volunteer work. Ada and George founded and organized the Fort Hamilton Gem and Mineral Society, and ran the Calada Rock and Hobby Shop for many years. She is survived by three sons; Gary (Debbie) Bonar, Norman (Cathy Sapp) Bonar, Marvin (Robin) Bonar; stepson Ralph Sr. (Verda) Bonar; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; special granddaughter/caretaker, Kristie Bonar; special nieces, Candy Bader and Shelby Carito; special great-grandson and buddy, B. Bonar; and step-daughter-in- law, Rae Bonar. Ada was preceded in death by her husband George, five brothers, three sisters, stepson, Dale Bonar, and her parents. A visitation will be held from 6pm-8pm on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Blount & Curry - MacDill, 605 S. MacDill Avenue, Tampa, Florida. Ohio services will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, 420 Ross Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio. Ada will be laid to rest at Butler County Memorial Park in Hamilton, Ohio.
