Born in Aiken, SC, she was a daughter of the late S. F. Kitchings and Mamie Watkins Kitchings. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and previously worked at K-Mart, E.I. DuPont, Westinghouse and retired from SRS.
Survivors include her husband James E. Woodward of the home; daughters Joyce Rutter of Windsor, Patsy Connell of Charleston; a son Jerry (Wanda) Bryant of Aiken; grandchildren Kyle Legette, Keith (Autumn) Legette, Eric Connell, Jamie Ricker, David Spissinger, James Coffey, Josh Bryant, Cory Bryant, Levi Bryant; a number of great grandchildren; sisters Pat Lokey, Laticia Mason both of Aiken, Loretta Johnson of Windsor. She was preceded in death by daughters Marlene Hallman, Teresa Coffey; sister Mary Daniels and brothers Frank and Dwight Kitchings.
