He was born on May 30, 1924 to Harmon and Lucille Allen. He graduated in 1943 from Burley High School.
He married Maxine Walker, and to this union were born three children: Gary Allen - Deceased, Dan Allen, of Amarillo, TX, and Balin Allen, of St. George, UT.
They later divorced and he married Jane Irene Whitehill. To this union an additional three children came, Zaillaine Callahan, Deceased, David Allen, Deceased, and Michael Allen, of Twin Falls.
They later divorced and he married Mary Ellen Allen. To this union came four additional children: Keith Allen, of Wheatridge, CO, Elihu Allen, of Fort Collins, CO, Miriam Staffen, of Twin Falls, and Lisa Woodhead, of Gillette, WY.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; sons: Gary Allen and David Allen; daughter, Zailaine Callahan; granddaughter, Katrina Bell; and great-granddaughter, Scarlett Atencio.
Harmon had many different jobs over his years, mainly farmer, salesman and above all else..... Dad! His greatest joy was his 27 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and above all else his love for his wife, Mary Allen, and his Heavenly Father. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Private family viewing will be held at Parkes Magic Valley Funeral Home on Sunday evening, February 11, 2018.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 11:00 A.M.at the Jerome Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 825 East Avenue B. Friends may view from 9:30 A.M. to 10:45 AM at the Church.
Graveside services will follow at the Pleasant View Cemetery 1645 E. 16th St., Burley, Idaho at 3:00 P.M.
