WILLIAM "BILL" C. BOHN
August 2, 1949 ~ February 2, 2018

William "Bill" C. Bohn was born on August 2, 1949 in Hinton, OK to Claude William and Grace Frances (Schertler) Bohn.

He passed away on February 2, 2018 in Denton, TX at the age of 68.

Bill grew up in Hinton, graduated from Hinton High School, and attended SWOSU in Weatherford.

He moved to Texas in 1981 when he worked for Champlin Oil. He was an IT programmer for most of his career. He retired from data services at Frito Lay.

He loved being retired and enjoyed genealogy, and visiting many of his ancestor's homes. In one particular trip, he visited the house in Pennsylvania where the Articles of Confederation were believed to be written, and traced his ancestry to a Tavern from 1741.

In earlier days, Bill enjoyed fishing, and has always had a great sense of humor, always liked to have fun, and play practical jokes. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hinton, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Grace Schertler Bohn, and infant brother, and his sister, Jo Ann Bohn.

Survivors Include: his wife, Joan Bohn of Aubrey, TX, his children, Brian Bohn and wife Jennifer of Denton, TX, and Brenda Poe and husband Adrian of Heath, TX, Jennifer Lawson of Houston, TX, Step daughter, Kim Vlassis of Ft. Worth, TX,

his grandchildren, Garrett and Austin Benson, and Chloe Lawson of Houston, and step grandchildren, Lauren and Brandon Vlassis of Ft. Worth, TX,

his sister, Donna Bohn Boykin and husband Louis of Greenville, TX, as well as many other relatives and friends.
