Jerry was born to Clayton "Bud" Cupp and Wilma Day Cupp in McCloud, California, on November 8, 1947. Jerry was the youngest of three sons.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; two daughters, Nancy Duncan, her husband Byran and granddaughter Mary all of Yreka, California, and Sarah Parker, her husband Steve and grandson Jared and granddaughter Sadie, all of Liberty Lake, Washington; and stepson Jimmie Lucero of Anchorage, Alaska. He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton "Bud", mother Wilma, and brothers Cecil and Clayton.
Jerry graduated from Hayfork High School in 1966 and immediately went to work for Golden West Telephone. He retired in 1997 after 28 years of working in the telephone industry and then moved to Alaska to enjoy retirement. Anyone who met Jerry would soon know of his love for fishing, flying, and hunting. As long as Jerry was able, he would be at the local fishing hole or out on a boat
What wonderful memories we have been left with when we look back at all the outdoor activities that Jerry was able to participate with even after his diagnosis. Some of his greatest adventures included flying the Alcan four times in a private airplane. He was a private pilot for 18 years.
Private family services were held at Hayfork Cemetery.
