Mrs. Agnes Elizabeth Scheible, of Emmett, passed away at the venerable age of 95 years 2 months 23 days on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at McLaren Macomb Hospital, Mt. Clemens.
Agnes Elizabeth Shanahan, the daughter of the late William and Anna (Gavin) Shanahan, was born November 11, 1922, in Columbus Township, St. Clair County, Michigan.
On June 7, 1947, in Port Huron, Michigan, Miss Shanahan was united in marriage with Mr. Gerald "Mike" Scheible. Mike passed away in 2005.
Agnes was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett, and had been the organist for many years. She started playing the organ for Masses at Holy Rosary Church, Smiths Creek, in 1935, and continued to play for weddings, funerals and Sunday Mass into the 2000's. She was a member of the Altar Society and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidery, making afghans, cooking and baking.

Rite of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2018, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett, with 9:30 a.m. visiting. Fr. Tom Kuehnemund, pastor, and Fr. Joe Gagnon will co-officiate.
Burial will be in Kenockee Cemetery of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-Kenockee Cemetery, Kenockee Township.
