Albert Steven Boeckman, 91, of St. Martins, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Heisinger Bluffs Senior Living Center surrounded by his family. He was born on October 7, 1926, in St. Elizabeth, a son of the late Joseph and Ida (Dickneite) Boeckman. He was united in marriage on May 29, 1948, to Alma Brondel at St. Martin's Catholic Church; she resides at Heisinger Bluffs Senior Living Center. Albert was born and raised in St. Elizabeth, Mo. He served his country in the United States Army from 1945 to 1947. He worked as a milkman for Landwehr Dairy, Quality Dairy Co., Foremost Dairy and retired from Central Dairy in 1989. After retirement he managed the Niekamp City Park in St. Martins. Albert was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church, American Legion Post 5 and the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed his farm, cows, spending time at their cabin on the Osage River, fishing, playing cards and putting puzzles together. Albert loved spending time with his family and looked forward to having a beer with the boys on Saturdays in the garage.

He is survived by his wife, Alma, of nearly 70 years; children: Stephen Boeckman (Connie) of St. Martins, Doris Propst (Allan) of Russellville, Audrey Goodin of St. Martins, Terry Boeckman (Joyce) of St. Martins, Kevin Boeckman (Debbie) of St. Martins, Danny Boeckman (Lisa) of Jefferson City; siblings: Henry Boeckman of Linn, Pat Brondel of St. Martins, Alberta Koestner (Tom) of Russellville; 14 grandchildren: Natasha Gladbach (Fred), Lindsay Boeckman, Brandon Boeckman, Benjamin Propst, Emily Goodin, Derek Goodin, Jennifer Fife (Seth), Amy Wideman (Phil), Ryan Boeckman (Kate), Courtney Pleus (Jeff), Kyle Boeckman (Kylie), Kelly Boeckman, Bryn Boeckman, Whitney Boeckman; and 21 great-grandchildren with one due in April. Along with his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his brothers: Joe Boeckman, Adolph Boeckman, Fred Boeckman; and sister: Anna Marie Schepers. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church in St. Martin's with Father Louis Nelen officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Martin's Catholic Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Martin's Catholic School or SSM Health at Home Hospice Care.
