William Allen Lingle, 68, passed from this life Saturday, February 3, 2018. He was born the son of Kenneth Harry and Chermae (Schor) Lingle in Chicago, Ill. William attended Harding High School. He continued his education at the University of Oklahoma, earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. William met his partner, Leola Casey, while working for his father, Kenneth H. Lingle CPA during an audit of the State of Oklahoma DHS in 1978. He started his own CPA firm and partnered with Howard Dixson in Main St. Tax Service in Norman, OK. Loving computers and ham radios, Bill enjoyed the annual Dayton Hamvention and the monthly Dallas Flea Market. He gave of his time to build and repair electronics and computers for those of limited finances. He put his amateur radio skills to work for TAFB and the Nichols Hills PD where he was a reserve officer. With the PD, he contributed toys for needy children and distributed them as Santa Claus-which in his heart he was. Bill's long term tax clients loved him, not only because of his fair prices, but for his "sage" advice, honesty, humor, and friendship. Bill was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves lasting memories with his partner, Leola Casey; son, Jake R. Casey; daughter, Melinda Pash; step-brother, J. Michael Bliss; sister, Donna Lingle Phillips and husband Andrew; Katrina Lingle Cabral and husband Joe; and step-sister, Laura Bliss Denwood. A memorial service to celebrate William's life will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, February 9, at the South Colonial Chapel. Friends may leave condolences for the family at: vondelsmithmortuary.com
