Age: 48 He was in Company B, 62nd infantry NC same one as brother of his wife, Joseph M. Hughes, the same unit under Capt . Moore. He was probably buried in Knoxville, Tn. unknown.
His wife Sarah stayed in Towns, Ga. listed in the 1870 and 1880 census. Two of her sister's children lived with her.
It seems she applied for a widow's pension in Sept. 1882.
I have not found it yet.
