Quentin Eugene Anderson, Sr., 92 passed away peacefully Jan. 27, 2018, in San Antonio. Quentin was born on May 11, 1925, in Thrall.

In 1951, Quentin began his lifelong career in the oil business. In 1963, he became a Mason. He was proud to say “a lifelong Mason.”

Quentin retired in 1980. During his retirement years, he enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and traveling with Helen, but of all these happy times he loved being with his family most.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fingal Anderson and Ruth Swenson Anderson, as well as his four siblings, Floyd Anderson, Dorothy Faltesek, Marvin Anderson and Florabel Henry.

Quentin is survived by his wife, Helen Cooke Anderson and children, Melissa Lyles and husband Jimmy, Quentin E. Anderson, Jr.; three grandchildren, Allison Lyles, Matt Lyles and wife Amanda; two great grandchildren, Connor and Madeline Lyles.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m. at Coker United Methodist Church, 231 E. North Loop Rd. in San Antonio. Following the service, there will be a reception at the church. Inurnment will take place at Mission Burial Park North at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Coker UMC or Complete Care Home Health LLC 1112 Blanco Rd. San Antonio, TX 78212.
