COLUMBUS — Rachael Nicoletta Anderson, 24, of Columbus, formerly of Warren, was taken from her family and friends way too soon on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018.

Rachael will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her uniqueness, hard work, loving kindness, joy and infectious laughter. She had the ability to make a lasting impression on everyone she came in contact with and she could light up a room with her smile.

Rachael was born Jan. 28, 1994 in Warren, the daughter of William “Bill” and Patricia “Trish” Sprecacenere Anderson.

Rachael was a 2012 graduate of Warren G, Harding High School, where she was in the National Honor Society and enjoyed playing soccer and volleyball, and band.

During high school, she was employed at Macali’s Giant Eagle and touched numerous lives of staff members and customers. She then continued her education, following her dream of becoming a funeral director embalmer at Youngstown State University. Following her prerequisite studies, she then was accepted into the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, where she earned her Bachelor of Mortuary Science Degree in 2016. While attending mortuary school, she had the pleasure of working with and learning from the staff, her mentors Tara and Jackie, and owner Bernie of Naegele-Kleb-Ihlendorf Funeral Home, Norwood. Upon graduation, Rachael then served her apprenticeship and became part of the family at the Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes in Columbus. She was so happy. She loved Adam, Kip, Kim, their families and all her colleagues. We knew she was in good hands and to say in my daughter’s words, “I will work for them forever.”

Rachael had many passions throughout her life. First and foremost, her career. She had a gift of compassion. She enjoyed dancing and socializing with family and friends. She loved children. She loved her life.

She leaves behind to hold onto to precious memories, her father, William Anderson of Warren; her mother Patricia “Trish” Sprecacenere-Anderson of Warren; a brother she adored, John Anderson of Warren; maternal grandmother, who she loved to the moon and back “Nonna” Claudia Sprecacenere of Warren; and two uncles, Thomas Sprecacenere of Florida and Michael Sprecacenere of Warren, along with many lifetime friends and relatives.

To know Rachael, she was a beautiful soul. She was a free spirit and she blessed us in so many ways. We may have only had her for a short time, but she made a lasting impression, and she will never be forgotten. Let’s celebrate her life. Sing, dance, hug your family and friends. That’s what she would have wanted.

Rachael was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Felix Sprecacenere; and paternal grandparents, John and Inez Anderson. They love her “a bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck.”

Family and friends may pay their respects 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, and again 8:45 to 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, all at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road NE, Warren. There will be a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, at St. Mary Church, 232 Seneca St., Warren, with the Rev. Christopher Heynk officiating. Burial will take place in Pineview Memorial Park, Warren.
