Edwin Ozell Cahoon, 87, of Grantsboro passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016, at home. He was a member of Silverhill Christian Church. He was also a charter member and volunteer for over 27 years with both Pamlico County Rescue and Grantsboro-Silverhill V.F.D. He owned and operated Cahoon's Bulldozer Service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Holton Cahoon.

He is survived by two sons, Dennis and Ashley Cahoon, both of Grantsboro; daughter, Clara Cahoon of Grantsboro; sister, Alene Fornes of Mobile, Ala.; brother, Jennings Cahoon of Grantsboro; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

His funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, June 12th at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rex Horne and the Rev. Charles Hardison officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Cahoon-Dixon Cemetery, Grantsboro.
