MRS. JULIA O'CONNOR, OF BRAMBLE, IS DEAD
Mrs. Julia O'Connor, an aged and respected woman residing near Bramble, died March 21. Her death resulted from general debility incidental to extreme old age. Mrs. O'Connor resided with her daughter. Besides the daughter she is survived by three sons, George W. Anthis of Burns City, Patrick O'Connor of Loogootee, and Dennis O'Connor of Indianapolis. Her first husband was William Anthis after whose death she married John O'Connor. The later has been dead for more than thirty years.
The funeral services were conducted March 22 by the Rev. J. F. Stanton and burial took place in St. Joseph's cemetery.

Enumerated in the 13 Aug 1850 Census for Veale Twp., Daviess Co., Indiana were "Julian" abt. 23yrs. old (born abt. 1827) in Indiana & her husband George Anthis (George William) abt. 46 yrs. old, b. abt. 1804 & died at least before 1859, in Indiana. Also enumerated with them were the offspring of George William Anthis' former marriage(s). The couple's first child, Mary Alice Anthis abt. 1yr. old is also enumerated in that household.
Their Daviess County Indiana marriage license was granted 20 Nov 1846. Their children are: Mary Alice (nee Anthis) Clements b.1849, d. 1911 & George W Anthis b. 1853 abt & d. after 1912 (survived his mother, per her above newspaper death notice).

In the 1910 Van Buren Twp., Daviess Co., Indiana Census: Julia A O'Connor b. abt 1830 was living in the household of her son-in-law John Bartholomew Spalding & her only O'Connor daughter, Mary Ann (nee O'Connor) Spalding and family.
Per the above Mar 30, 1912 obituary notice: Julia Ann O'Connor was living with this daughter, near Bramble ( Martin Co., Indiana). Per her own 1912 death certificate, Julia Ann died in Van Buren Twp., Daviess Co., Indiana. By auto: Bramble, Martin Co., Indiana is 4.1 miles away from Van Buren Twp., Daviess Co., Indiana.
Julia Ann's 2nd husband, John B O'Connor was b. abt. 1807 in Ireland. Per the Daviess County Democrat article he died over 30 yrs. ago. Julia Ann is his widow in the 1 Jul 1870 Census for Brown Twp., Martin Co., Indiana. They were married about 1859 in Indiana. Their 1st son, Patrick J O'Connor was born 15 Aug 1860 in Indiana.

It is her daughter from Julia Ann's 1st marriage, Mary Alice (nee Anthis) Clements b. 1849 that died on 21 Mar 1911 in Burns City and was buried at Saint Joseph Cemetery, Bramble, Martin County, Indiana.
Per Julia Ann Hager Anthis O'Connor's March 30, 1912 Daviess County Democrat published obituary, her own death occurred on 21 Mar 1912 near Bramble and she is buried at Saint Josephs Cemetery.
