Evelyn “Mutt” Parrish, 89, of Hector, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 29, 2018, at Dardanelle Nursing & Rehab Center. The daughter of Will and Gertrude (Parks) Nolan, she was born February 16, 1928, near Appleton.

She married Leamon L. Parrish, on November 7, 1943, at New Madrid, Missouri and they enjoyed 74 years sharing life and farming together.

Before Evelyn became sick with Dementia, she loved working in her garden and flower beds, canning vegetables, sewing and making hundreds of quilts. She had a special love caring and cooking for the sick in the community. She was a faithful member of the Welcome Home Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed worshipping and serving her Lord with her church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenny “KP” & Nancy Cochran Parrish; three granddaughters, Amanda White, Lana Beth & Shawna Beth Parrish; a great great grandson, Braxton Huffman; as well as several brothers & sisters.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Leamon Parrish of Hector; one daughter, Nelda Owens of Centerville; a son, Glen Parrish (Sharon) of Hector; four grandchildren, Lisa Gray (Billy), Tracy Lusk (Ronald), both of Russellville; Jonathan Parrish (Casey) of Clarksville, and Kay Leigh Parrish of Hector; nine great grandchildren, Chris Gray, Heather Huffman, Jennifer Rice, Kristen Nuckols, Seth Lusk, Ben Lusk, and Laurie, Chloe & Lilly Parish; nine great great grandchildren, Heylie Gray, Devin Nuckols, Zane Gray, Cole Huffman, Kashton Gray, Quinton Chronister, Klair Burns, and Bristol Nuckols; and numerous other nieces, nephews & relatives.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, February 2, 2018, at Welcome Home Free Will Baptist Church, 233 Welcome Home Road, Hector. Rev. Troy Coffman and Chris Gray will officiate. Active pallbearers are: Billy Gray, Chris Gary, David Rice, Ronald Lusk, Seth Lusk, Ben Lusk, Justin Nuckols, and Matt Huffman. Honorary pallbearers are: Devin Nuckols, Cole Huffman, Zane Gray, Quinton Chronister, Jonathan Parrish and Kashton Gray.
