Norma F. Wampler, 88 of Grand Island died Sunday, January 28, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at All Faiths Funeral Home, Grand Island. Daniel Naranjo will officiate. Cremation will take place following the service. Burial of ashes will be in the Phillips Cemetery.
Norma was born October 17, 1929 at Tabor, Iowa the daughter of Harold and Clara (Brown) Earith.
Survivors include her son, Robert Connolly of Alda; daughter, Charlene (John) Sammons of Grand Island; brother, Harold (Sherry) Earith, Jr. of Murray, NE; sister, Peggy (Glenn) Lechner of Nebraska City; special granddaughter-care giver, Charlotte (Tim) Trahan of Morrison, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Wampler; daughter, Darlene Blashill; infant son, David Cottingham; her parents; brothers, Leo and Wayne and sister, Alice.
Norma was raised on a family farm near Tabor, IA and received her education at Percival, IA. She was united in marriage to Howard Wampler. They lived in Grand Island for over 40 years.
Norma worked as a Nurses Aid for many years. Her last place of employment was Golden Living at Park Place.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Norma loved people. Those who were blessed to meet her loved her back. She loved flowers and was an animal lover, especially dogs. Her greatest enjoyment was time spent with family.
