Stephen was shy and quite. He had blond curly hair. He never enjoyed being in crowds, even when it was a large group of his own family. He lived at the home farm with his brothers Leo, Robert, Herman, and Andrew for his entire life.
He was born to Frank and Elizabeth (Puthoff) Bergman.
Never married, surviving is a sister, Regina Albers.

Stephen Bergman, 81, of 7322 Huwer Rd, St. Rose, died at 1 PM Wednesday, 30 July, 1986 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born 9 October, 1904 to Frank and Elizabeth (Puthoff) Bergman.
Mr. Bergman was retired from farming. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society of the Church.
Survivors include two sisters, and two brothers. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Services were at10:30 AM Saturday at the church with Rev. Joseph Pax officiating. Burial with in the church cemetery.
Hogenkamp funeral home, Minster, handled the arrangements.
