MAXINE MALONE, 84, of Memphis, died September 13, 2010 at her home. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, September 15, and services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, September 16, all at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. Maxine was retired from Lowenstein's Department Store and she was a longtime member of Gracewood Baptist Church. Mrs. Malone was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Earl Malone and son, Ricky Malone. She is survived by her husband, Bryan Bate; one son, Jackie Malone (Sherry); two daughters-in-law, Phyllis Sammons and Sherry H. Malone; one sister, Mary Nell Comer; seven grandchildren, Brigette Newsom, Tracey Malone Bernard, Kelly Steel, Jay and Jon Scudder, Lee and Kristin Carver; eight-great-grandchildren, Devon and Kelsie Newsom, Haylie Malone, Parker Steel, Abbe, Grace and Camryn Scudder and Kenny Carver. Memorials may be sent to the Olive Branch Humane Society.
