He was born July 21, 1933 in Carlton, New York a son of the late Robert H. and Glendora M. (nee Dean) Church. He was a United States Air Force Korean War veteran and served from 1953-1957. He also attended the First United Methodist Church in Springville and was an outdoor sports activist. He formerly ran the Teen Shooting Academy (TSA) throughout Western New York.
He graduated from Lyndonville High School in 1952 and attended the Brown Institute of Broadcasting and Electronics in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He was the owner of ARC Power Systems in Springville for 23 years.
Predeceased by his daughter, Deanne E. Reukauf, October 6, 1963 - August 26, 2004.
