Sarah had suffered a paralytic stroke on 12 March 1932, from which she never recovered. She was the widow of Clark P. Ayers. They were farmers on the land they owned in Greensburg Twp., Putnam County, Ohio. Sarah had obeyed the gospel, was baptized and became a member of the Church of Christ on 23 April 1880 and served faithfully until the stroke in 1932.
