The daughter of the late Claus and Lilly Beacham Tranchell

Mary Ann Tranchell Scott, age 89, passed peacefully at home on January 19, 2018 in Nephi, Utah.

Mary Ann was born December 9, 1928 to Claus and Lilly Beacham Tranchell in St. George, Utah. She grew up in Springville and eventually settled in Nephi, Utah. She married Jerry Scott in 1987. Mary Ann was loved and adored by many, she had a witty sense of humor and always a smile for everyone. One of her favorite activities was the large family reunion held every year in her honor. She was always in charge of the raffle and delegated the prizes. Mary Ann was an excellent seamstress and gardener. She enjoyed movies, crosswords and jigsaw puzzles.

Mary Ann had 5 children, 18 grandchildren and many great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Survived by her husband Jerry Scott, children Vaughn (Gayle) Thomas of Duchesne, UT, Susan Booke of Goshen, UT, and Dorothy Woodruff of Nephi, UT, stepdaughter Rhonda Lambert of Casper, WY, sister Sherline Johnson of Almo, CA.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sons Terry Q Olson and Danny L Olson, brothers Jack, Walter and Ronnie Tranchell, and sister, Ethel Hone.
