Doris Leno Wilson, age 99, left her earthly life to go to her heavenly home on November 1, 2017. She was born on July 24, 1918 and she was the youngest of eight children. Their names were Monroe, Milo, Reno, Vino, Velpo, Mayo, Cicero, and Leno.

She was a resident of Chiefland, FL for most of her life. She lived in Miami, FL of several years after she married George Zimmerman. Later in life she re-married George Wilson and remained in Chiefland until the last 10 years where she was a resident of Ayers Rehabilitation in Trenton, FL.

She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Walker of Gainesville, FL, Patricia Lewis of Chiefland, FL and Vicki (Reece) Powell of Gainesville, FL; one son Stephen (Christina) Wilson of Chiefland, FL; two grandchildren, Allysa Wilson and Micah Wilson of Chiefland, FL; two step granddaughters, Stephanie Curl of Williston, FL and Janice Pruitt of Bronson, FL and their children and various nieces and nephews.

Doris “Leno” loved the outdoors and spent most of her time in her yard and in her garden. She also loved fishing and hunting. She was happy and full of life and a prankster. She was a wonderful cook and all of her family loved gathering at her home for her great country cooking. Her family was her heart. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Chiefland, FL.

Her viewing will be at Knauff Funeral Home, Chiefland, FL on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Service will be at Knauff Funeral Home Chapel in Chiefland, FL on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Chiefland Cemetery. Under the direction of Knauff Funeral Home - Chiefland
