Kristen Anderson, age 70, of Salt Lake City, Utah, died peacefully at home, surrounded by family on January 13, 2018 after battling ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).
Kristen was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left an impression on everyone who knew her. Her ability to make friends came so naturally. She was fiercely loyal, thoughtful, caring, fun, and had a spirited personality. Kristen was very adventurous, she loved to travel, ski, camp, and spend time outdoors. She also loved to host gatherings and attend social events.
Kristen was born in Logan, Utah to E. LeRoy "Toe" and Grace R. Anderson. She graduated from Ogden High School and then earned a B.S. from the University of Utah. After she became a VISTA volunteer, Kristen enjoyed traveling the world as a flight attendant for Pan Am. She was a proud, straight supporter of the GLCCU and volunteered for numerous organizations throughout her life. Kristen always worked tirelessly and put her heart into everything she did.
Kristen is survived by her children, David Bennett, Brandon Bennett (Lindsay), Angela Bennett (John Worsencroft); her grandchildren, Logan (12), Christopher (8), Ella (3); her brothers, Robert Anderson (Kathleen), and Ross "Rocky" Anderson; and many nephews, nieces, friends, and loved ones.
The family held a celebration of life at Red Butte Gardens in her honor. In Lieu of flowers, please donate to the ALS Association (alsa.org).
