Bob served our country in the United States Army from 1964-1968. He was a graduate of Florida State University and was an extremely fierce Seminole fan. Bob served in many capacities with The U.S. Jaycees and was honored to be a Jaycee Senator. He will be remembered for his dry wit and his always present sense of humor.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Hunt; father, David Barnett; son, Christopher Barnett; sisters, Patty Ramsey and Cathy Kelly.
Bob is survived by his first wife of 51 years, Judith Ann Barnett; son, Jim Barnett and daughter-in-law, Kim; grandchildren, Kaleigh, Micah, Nathan and Kelci, all of whom he adored; brother-in-law, Bob Robertson of Alexandria, VA; and a host of family and friends from Virginia to Indiana to Louisiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana, Chapter 1: P.O. Box 86507 Baton Rouge, LA 70879, because of their dedication and support of our military and Gold Star families.
