James Lee Ackerberg, 54, of Grant, passed away on December 19, 2017 at home. He was born on October 28, 1963 to John and Neoma (Royce) Ackerberg in Grant, Michigan. He graduated from Kent City High School in 1982. James worked as a Truck Driver for Schneider National and MTS in Grand Rapids. James is survived by his wife Debra, seven daughters: Katie Ackerberg of Arlington, VA, Kelly (Robert) Venhuizen of Coopersville, Mellissa (Jefffrey) Venhuizen of Casnovia, Cari (Joe) Moulden of Casnovia, Kimberly (Bruce) Macy of Casnovia, Stacey (Gary) Brock of Ravenna, Jamie Ford of Grant; son Cory (Elizabeth) Ford of Casnovia; 10 grandchildren; three brothers: Herb (Karla) Ackerberg of Casnovia, Carl Ackerberg of Bailey, Tim (Cathy) Ackerberg of Grant; and sister Linda (Steve) Bunker of Newaygo. Interment will be in Hilton Cemetery. A memorial luncheon will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017 from noon to 2:00 pm at Ridge Quest, Inc., 13864 Eagle Ridge Drive B, Kent City, Michigan 49330.
