Elizabeth L. "Betty" Harvey, 78, 2701 Iowa Ave., died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She had been ill for two weeks. She was born Dec. 25, 1921, in Connersville to Harry and Mae Elwood Honaker and was a lifelong resident of Connersville. She had worked at Rex Manufacturing, McQuay-Norris and Hassler Cleaners and had been an assistant manager at Lord's Dress Shop. She was a member of St. Gabriel Church. Survivors include a son, William Cargal Jr. of Cambridge City; a daughter, Lynda Swango of Connersville; three grandsons; one granddaughter; three great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons; and a niece, whom she raised, DeMaris Simpson of Rushville. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Cargal, whom she married July 14, 1945, on May 25, 1968; her second husband, Kenneth N. Harvey, whom she married Feb. 25, 1975, on July 7, 1982; and three brothers. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Gabriel Church. Burial will be in Springersville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home, Connersville, where the rosary will be recited at 7:45 tonight.
