Gerald “Cue Ball” Fryoux, 83 years old, passed away on January 20, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 12, 1934, in Plaquemine, La., born to Houston and Lena (Dugas) Fryoux. A long-time resident of Baker, La. He proudly served his country for 8 years in the National Guard. He also worked at the Baton Rouge Fire Department for several years. He touched many young lives in his 37 years of umpiring baseball. The highlight of this career was umpiring at the Little League World Series.

Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, Houston and Lena Fryoux; first wife, Gaynell Lambert Fryoux; son, Gerald Joseph Fryoux, Jr.; brother, Richard J. Fryoux; second wife, Kathy White.

Gerald is survived by his sons, Kevin Fryoux (Kris) and Anthony Fryoux; daughter, Sonya Gautreaux (David); sisters, Corine Sanchez (Darron), Jackie Hebert (Gerald); brother, Raymond Fryoux (Brenda); sister-in-law, Frances Fryoux; grandchildren, Chaz Bourgeois (Mindy), Travis Bourgeois (Lynne), Jacob Fryoux (Jade), Sarah Fryoux, Luke Fryoux, Kelsi Pujol, and Jordon Pujol; great-grandchildren, Jackson Bourgeois, Baylor Bourgeois, Charlee Bourgeois, Coen Bourgeois, Kyndal Pujol, Kayne Bourgeois, and Rylie Jade Fryoux; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of Landmark Nursing Home for the excellent care they had provided.
