She was born May 5, 1929 in Silver Creek, Georgia to the late James Edward Bradshaw, Sr. and the late Arzie Kelley Kerr Bradshaw. She worked in cotton mills most of her life and retired from Trend Mills.
She met Willie Hugh Brown, Jr. in December of 1943 at Anchor Duck. They married 3 months later on March 24, 1944. He preceded her in death December 29, 1996 after 52 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Lynn Brown ; siblings, Harold Bradshaw, Ellen Bradshaw Lewis, Winifred Bradshaw, Lucille Kerr Womack, Beatrice Kerr Jackson, Stella Bradshaw Mote, Mark Bradshaw, Hambrick Bradshaw, Jessie Bradshaw, Minnie Bradshaw Sharp, Effie Bradshaw Burkhalter, Annie Bradshaw Savage, and James Bradshaw, Jr.
Survivors include daughters, Debbie (Dewey) Thomas and Cici (Charles Booth) Burkhalter ; grandchildren, Angie (Richard) Barnes, Missy (Greg Sloan) Rampley, Jesse (Julie) Burkhalter ; great-grandchildren, Brittany Sloan, Gracie Sloan and Matthew Barnes ; a brother, Carlee Bradshaw ; a special nephew, Jimmy Jackson ; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 22, 2018 at New Bethel Church Cemetery on Reeceburg Road in Silver Creek with Rev. Herman Stamey officiating. Pallbearers will be Dewey Thomas, Charles Booth, Jesse Burkhalter, Greg Sloan, Jimmy Jackson and Richard Barnes.
