Dies Thursday
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the Tapp FuneraJ Home chapel for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Holbrook, who died at the Shady Lawn Home Thursday morning after a long illness. Mrs. Holbrook had been a resident at the convalescent home for about seven years.
She was born April 27, 1880 in Hopkins County, the daughter of James and Mary Fox. She was married to Griffin Holbrook, who preceded her in death several years ago.
She is survived by two brothers, George Fox of Mt. Pleasant and Math Fox of Dallas; one sister, Mrs. C. K. Connor of Union; three step-daughters; one nephew, Ronald Fox of Sulphur Springs.
Mrs. Holbrook was a member of the Church of Christ. Funeral services will be conducted by George Maddox, assisted by Wilburn Whittington. Burial will be in the Union cemetery.
