Obituary:
Alice M. Mollett, age 89 of Greenville, passed away 11:34 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2018 at Faith Care Center, Highland, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, January, 22, 2018 at the Donnell - Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville, Illinois with interment in Brown Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Donnell - Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville. Memorials may be made to the Old Ripley Church of Christ.

Alice Mae, the daughter of John Jahue and Frances Ann Ellen (Robertson) Erdel, was born February 10, 1928 in Old Ripley Township. She grew up on the family farm, attended the Round Prairie School and graduated Pocahontas High School with the class of 1947. Alice went on to attend Greenville College. She worked at DeMoulin Brothers Factory in Greenville and then taught school for 5 years at Round Prairie. Alice then worked as a secretary at Everett Martin Insurance Company. She enjoyed helping Dr. Stowe at his Veterinary Clinic.

Alice and William D. Mollett were united in marriage on September 24, 1949. They enjoyed 53 years together before his passing on June 17, 2003.

Alice is survived by her daughter Debbie Ann Stephens and husband Rick of Alfred, New York, sons Steve Duane Mollett and wife Brenda of Greenville and Alan William Mollett of Greenville. Loving grandmother of Ashlee Drawz and husband Paul, Billy Stephens, Katelynn Mollett and Kaeden Mollett. Great-grandmother of Nathan and Charlotte.

Alice was the last of her generation, preceded in death by her siblings: Henry Erdel, Albert J. Erdel, Vallee Erdel, Mary Erdel and Minnie Stowe.

Alice and her husband were members of the Old Ripley Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School for 58 years. She loved working with young people. Alice also was a member of the Women's Auxiliary, Bond Christian Service Christian Camp, Bond County Historical Society and the Hospital Auxiliary.
