Connie Sue Sowards, 72, of Concord, NC, formerly of Hurricane, WV passed away January 16, 2018 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Ida Mae Alford and her daughter, Melissa Sue Sowards.
Surviving are her husband, Eddie Sowards; children, Dwayne Sowards (Christine), Kevin Sowards (Laurie Simpson) and Cheryl Barnes (William) all of Mount Pleasant, NC; her grandchildren, Megan, Michelle, Cayce, Karen, David, Daniel, Madison and Ashlyn; her sister, Helen Moss of Hurricane; her brother, Dave Alford (Stephanie) of Hurricane.
Funeral service will be held at 2pm Monday, January 22, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon at the funeral home.
