Mrs. Lottie Brown, 76, of McKenzie died Monday, January 15, 2018, at McKenzie Regional Hospital.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Greater Enon Missionary Baptist Chruch. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church.

Lottie was born January 25, 1941 in McKenzie, TN to Burnett Horton, Sr. and Eddie Mae Horton.

Her life as caretaker started at her alma mater Webb School where she worked several years at Webb Day Care when it 1st opened. She then became homemaker, grandmother, aunt and mother to many.

Lottie graduated from Webb School Valedictorian of her class. Classmates often talked about her basketball skills, being a majorette, and shenanigans with her cousins.

Lottie married SSG John Marshall Brown, III in which two children were born to this union. Tracy and Michelle. The apples of her eye.

Lottie was preceded in death by her father Burnett Horton Sr., husband John Marshall Brown, III, daughter Michelle Brown, mother Eddie Mae Horton and brother Robert Joe Jones.

Lottie was active in the choir at Johnson Temple CME and continued to sing like an angel when she later joined Enon Baptist Church, McKenzie where the bond with choir members lasted till her last day.

She supported her daughter and grandchildren in every way possible.

Left to cherish her loving memories: Daughter, Tracy (Thomas) Teague, grandchildren, Marshall Devay Brown, Heidi Thomas, Jerome Brown and Jalisa Brown. Brothers: Burnett Horton, Jr., John Paul (Denise) Jones, and Sisters: Annie Sue Buchanan, Jeanette Hartsfield, and Ora Dean Sneed. Great grandchildren: Jerome Brown and Holden Weathers. Nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.

One thing for sure, She loved the Lord and her family.
