Patricia Banton Goodman, formerly of Roanoke, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011, at the Cameron Glen Nursing Facility in Reston, Va. Pat was a graduate of William Fleming High School in Roanoke and a former employee of Martin Research. Her fondest memories were from her years spent as a mother and homemaker in the Windsor West area of Roanoke County. Pat was a member and former officer of the Salem Junior Women's Club and was a long time member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Pat is survived by her three daughters, Kristi Goodman Dooley, of Reston, Jennifer Goodman Roberts, of Ashburn, and Sarah Goodman, of Roanoke; her sisters, Linda Banton Dunn, of Norfolk, and Ann Carol Holley, of Richmond; her sons-in-law, Sean Dooley and Les Roberts; her former husband, Wayne Goodman; and nine dear grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2011, at Oakey's South Chapel on Brambleton Ave. The Rev. Dusty Fiedler will officiate. The family will receive friends there before the service from 12:30 p.m. until the service time at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Angels of Assisi, 415 Campbell Ave., SW, Roanoke, VA 24016. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel.
