Eva “Lois” Lewis, 88, of Gainesville, MO passed away on January 17, 2018 at the Gainesville Healthcare Center. She was born on October 6, 1929 to Edith (Rife) Crawford and Johnny Wayne Crawford in Lick Creek, Missouri.



She graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1947 and attended the Arkansas State Teacher's College in Conway, Arkansas (now University of Central Arkansas.) She was a teacher at Clarkridge and Bald Tom schools, as well as when Bentley Ridge school consolidated to Clarkridge. She also worked at Mar-Bax shirt company in Gassville, Arkansas. She married Mack Lewis on November 25, 1953. She then worked in Kansas City, Missouri at National Bellas Hess Co., Inc., packaging general merchandise mail orders. She was a lifelong native of Clarkridge and enjoyed spending time with her family and dressing up her granddaughters to take to church.



Mrs. Lewis is survived by one son, Darin Lewis of Gainesville, MO; three granddaughters Misti Snyder, Melisa Howard, and Hannah Lewis; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter; one son; and her husband.



Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Clayton King officiating. Visitation will be Saturday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Howards Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Howards Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
