Ida J. Reed, 86, of Whitehall, got her wings Monday.

She was a daughter of the late George and Florence Dallago Sterner.

She was the wife of David D. Reed Sr., 86, of Whitehall. They were married for 67 years. Ida loved to cook and spend time with her family playing games, especially poker and bingo. She and David could be found every morning at the Whitehall Diner. Ida came from a large, loving family, including brothers, George, James, Paul, Leo, Charles and Frank, and sisters, Evelyn, Alice and Martha.

Surviving are a son, David D. Reed Jr. and his wife, Taunia, Virginia Beach, Va.; daughters, Gina Donald, Forest Hill, Md., Pam Gower and her husband, Bill, Auburn, and Lisa Curran and her husband, Jerry, Whitehall; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, including one expected in March.

A memorial gathering will be held at noon with a Celebration of Life service to begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 Hamilton St., Allentown.
